4 Simple Steps To a Holiday Home
Have you noticed? The days are growing shorter, even in Hawaii. The year is winding down. Fall is upon us. As the seasons change, a lot of us are trying to find some fresh ideas to spruce up our homes for the upcoming holidays. Take a look around your living area. Could it use a little excitement? You can change the look of your space so easily by rotating or adding a few well placed accessories. Bring in some color!
Here are 4 simple steps to create your holiday home:
1. Is your sofa a neutral color? A few well placed accent pillows or a soft comfy throw can add some holiday pizzazz to your room. It not only adds color, but gives the room a comfortable, inviting feel.
2. Do you have some favorite holiday accessories? I collect ceramic pumpkins and I love to display them every year. You can do the same. If you don’t have a collection, start one! It can be your holiday tradition too.

3. Bring a little nature indoors. Buy a few small fresh pumpkins, gourds, and pinecones to create a cornucopia for your coffee table dining centerpiece. Place a basket of ruby red apples for your guests to enjoy. Roast fresh nuts in the oven and display them in a bowl.

4. Heat apple cider with mulling spices. Not only will your home smell wonderful, it’s also a delicious treat everyone will enjoy.
