Before you continue reading, let me warn you my window tracks are nasty. Living in Mililani, we are surrounded with hard-to-clean red dirt. Also two cats reside in my house so there’s cat fur aplenty!
Here’s a quick tip to clean the build-up of window grime.
First, quickly vacuum the loose dirt, bugs, fur, and other ickiness.
Gross! Remember you were warned.
Next, meet my good friends: baking soda and vinegar.
They should be your friends too.
Mix together (no measurements needed. Just mix the desired amount). The vinegar will cause the baking soda to foam instantly.
Helpful tip: Since Easter is this weekend, you can find vinegar on sale everywhere.
Next, pour the mixture on your window tracks. And place a paper towel to soak up the mess.
Let the paper towel do the hard work.
Just remove paper towel and taa daa…
Sorry this is the best shot I could get. But believe me, it’s clean.
I will spare you a picture of the disgusting paper towel.
Happy Spring cleaning! Do you have a quick tip for cleaning your window tracks?
